Pressure-treated vs composite?
Pressure-treated lumber is the value build and takes stain if you want a wood look. Composite and PVC cost more and need less year-to-year maintenance. Both can be built to handle freeze-thaw if the frame, footings, and flashing are done right.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. We pull permits and schedule inspections when the town requires them. That is part of building the deck, not an extra you have to chase.
Screened / three-season options?
We build screened-in sections and three-season porch conversions. We'll look at the existing structure, how you want to use the space, and what the opening and roof need before we quote it.
